A little powerful toy that we play with on a daily basis.

Alright.. Let’s get some straight facts in here first.. What is the dictionary definition of mindset?

1: a mental attitude or inclination.

2: a fixed state of mind.

Now let’s hit the quote stream.

“A mindset is a belief that orients the way we handle situations — the way we sort out what is going on and what we should do. Our mindsets help us spot opportunities, but they can trap us in self-defeating cycles.”

So we have a couple of definitions and now let’s get down to how it truly affects us on a day to day basis.

Have you ever wondered about how many opportunities that you have truly missed out on just because you weren’t mentally ready to walk down the unfamiliar path?

Well let’s first stop there!

The past is the past and we can only move forward now.. Am I right or what?

And now let’s simply stop missing out on opportunities that will challenge us to continually move forward.

Steps to a more POSITIVE MINDSET!

  1. You are 100% in charge of your life and opportunities. Yes, there are factors that we are unable to control, but you have the power to acknowledge the situation, come to terms with it, and make a plan of action to deal with the situation and move forward. Even if things seem like they are falling down the rabbit hole, we still have the power to climb out or continue falling further down.

  2. Acknowledge how far you have come in your life and remember the strategies you used to get there. You are the first person to down play your achievements, but why shouldn’t you be proud of them. Big or small, you still made the effort to show up daily to achieve that outcome. That effort can always be placed in new situations.

  3. Learn to be happy with the process. Why shouldn’t you enjoy the small steps that push you over to the bigger picture. When did those small steps become less important? Well.. it’s about time to start admiring those killer small steps that you take daily. Stop and smell the coffee and stop adding a mountain of to do lists on yourself. Make a to do list that is not overwhelming. It’s 100% ok with ONLY starting with one thing on your list! Trust me! I did and That is how I started to get things DONE!

  4. Use the challenging situations in life as growth. We are all going through something and each situation is unique in it’s own way. Everyone fails at some point and it’s OKAY. The beauty of failing is learning which creates growth within you. It helps you explore new techniques and opportunities. Failure gives you the chance to evolve and it’s up to you if you’re up for that ride. Fail, Fail, and Fail because that means you’re putting in work and will eventually get to the right point!

  5. Become clear with your goals. I have many ideas that cross through my brain daily, but it creates a nice little cluster F*ck in my head. With that said, I learned how to pin point and map out what I need to do in order to move forward. Break it down! Step by Step.. Make it clear as a sunny a$$ day!

  6. Motivate yourself with the small steps that you achieve and finish. Like I stated before, adding only one thing on your list and finishing it will help propel you to keep adding more simple tasks day by day, week by week, and month by month… You get the point.

…. Therefore, Today!

I challenge you to add one task that you have been putting off completing lately and work on it. A little each day of this week and at the end of the week, you will be astonished by how much you actually were able to do!

and if you need to throw you goal out into the universe… Shoot me a message below: I would love to know what you’re working on at the moment!
